Rain or shine, the REDLEE/SCS, INC. 2nd Annual Pam Redfearn Holman Memorial Shoot was a hit. Held Friday, October 18, 2013 at the Dallas Gun Club, teams of five competed in shooting clay targets for the highest score with an aim to meet our goal of raising $20,000 for the Fisher House Foundation. With a total of 45 volunteers and 18 teams comprised of REDLEE/SCS team members, vendors, customers and veterans; the event had a bigger turnout than years previously. We raised a total of $15,000 for the Fisher House Foundation, which will help provide free or low cost lodging to veterans and military families receiving treatment at military medical centers.
“One of the great things about this event is what we support,” Megan Redfearn, the event organizer and SharePoint Manager at REDLEE/SCS, said. “Each year, we select a different military charity that Pam supported to carry on her legacy. Last year, we raised $20,000 for the Wounded Warrior Project.”
This is the second year the event was held in honor of Pam Redfearn Holman, the guiding force behind the REDLEE/SCS charity donations to the armed forces and other causes before her death in 2011.
“The reason we do this shoot is for my late Aunt, Pam Redfearn Holman,” said Christi Redfearn, Chief Strategy Officer at REDLEE/SCS. “She did everything from personally packing boxes to send to different troops in Afghanistan and Iraq to leaving a lot of her personal wealth to military charities when she passed away. We do it to honor her memory and to help continue her work.”
